A Roman Catholic presence in the Shenandoah Valley since 1932

WE ARE OPEN FOR PUBLIC MASSES THIS WEEKEND.

6 August 2020

Dear People of St. John the Evangelist Church,

I was notified yesterday that an individual who was in our Church this week between Monday 3 August--Wednesday 5 August 2020 is suspected to be positive for COVID-19. This individual is receiving the appropriate medical attention.

Following government and diocesan protocols, we have notified local health officials and our diocesan officials to make them aware of the situation.

Per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and diocesan guidelines, the church was closed immediately and remains closed until it can be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

Out of care and concern for everyone, I urge you if you were in the church building on the dates indicated above, to contact your primary health care provider immediately if you feel ill.

Please join me in praying for this individual and all who are affected by COVID-19 at this time.

Peace.

Fr. Rolo
