Sacramental Preparation

Baptism: Parents are to be registered, practicing parishioners who attend a Baptismal Preparation Session offered in January, April, July & October.

Confirmation: Grade Nine is a pre-requisite for entrance into our Confirmation Program. Two-year preparation for this Sacrament begins in the Tenth Grade and is completed in the Eleventh Grade. Students are required to attend Religious Education classes and special Confirmation sessions. Parents and Sponsors are required to attend the preparation program.

*All preparation for the celebration of Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation is held in the Parish.

First Penance and First Eucharist: Grade One is a pre-requisite for entrance into the First Sacramental Programs. Catechesis is provided during the Christian Formation program for children in Grade 2. Parents are required to attend the preparation program. There is a Sacrament of Penance update for our Fifth graders. Parents are required to participate.

Holy Matrimony:
Policy:

1. Family must be registered in parish.
2. If new to parish and not been active in previous parish, they must be registered here for three months before becoming eligible to begin the six months preparation for the Sacrament of Matrimony.
3. Children of registered parishioners who no longer live here need a letter from their present pastor indicating active status in their parish.
4. Couples must meet with the priest before setting their marriage date.
5. All couples are required to take the Pre-Marriage Preparation Classes.

Funerals: Please contact the Pastor before arranging the funeral time. Advance planning of funeral liturgies is welcomed and encouraged.
