Christian Formation for Children and Youth includes the responsibility for advising, planning, implementing, and evaluating parish faith formation programs for children and youth. This effort is done in accordance with the policies developed by the Office of Christian Formation of the Diocese of Richmond.
At St. John the Evangelist, the Pastor, the Coordinator of Ministry to Youth and Children, and interested parishioners comprise the Children/Youth Christian Formation team, which manages all formation programs for children and youth.
Classes – Preschool through Twelfth Grade meet every Sunday from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM, September through May.
Youth Ministry – Events, activities, and projects that respond to the personal, social, and spiritual needs of Middle and High School young people, and assist in the formation of their faith, spirituality, and service to others
High School Website - The High School Christian Formation Program has a website with lesson content and resources for students and parents.
